Zoho One Jumps on AI and Analytics Train with New Upgrades

The company has announced a range of updates to Zoho One, its all-in-one cloud app suite including new analytics tools and access to its Zia AI assistant.

India-based Zoho has rolled out several updates to Zoho One, the all-in-one cloud app suite it calls “the operating system for business”. The updates include new analytics tools and access to the Zia AI assistant. They are just the latest in a slew of new features added to the suite since it launched a year ago. The first was team chat tool Cliq, then Zoho Flow, an automated workflow automation platform. The latest updates also feature their PageSense website testing tool and Sprints project management app. ZoHo one will now feature integration with Zia AI assistant. It was originally part of the company’s CRM tool and offered suggestions based on customer data. Now it will be used across all Zoho One apps and offer suggestions and contextual information from a wide range of sources. As an example, the company said it could pull data from Zoho CRM and Zoho Desk to generate insights that will let users know how many open support tickets are waiting for resolution.

The new analytics tool offers customized dashboards and report creation and allows users to integrate data from third-party apps in addition to the data generated by all of Zoho’s business apps.
“The stats clearly show that customers will use multiple apps from a single suite, if those apps work together more deeply than a patchwork of products from different vendors,” Raju Vegesna, chief evangelist at Zoho, said in a statement to Computerworld. “We see customers combining data from different Zoho and third-party apps – like email campaigns, CRM, customer support and accounting – to generate new insights and make better decisions.” Zoho One launched in July 2017 and includes over 40 of Zoho’s business apps including CRM, HR, productivity, BI and more.

The 4 Waves of AI: Who Will Own the Future of Technology?

Recently, I( Peter H. Diamandis ) picked up Kai-Fu Lee’s newest book,  AI Superpowers . Kai-Fu Lee is one of the most plugged-in AI investors on the planet, managing over $2 billion between six funds and over 300 portfolio companies in the US and China. Drawing from his pioneering work in AI, executive leadership at Microsoft, Apple, and Google (where he served as founding president of Google China), and his founding of VC fund Sinovation Ventures, Lee shares invaluable insights about: The four factors driving today’s AI ecosystems; China’s extraordinary inroads in AI implementation; Where autonomous systems are headed; How we’ll need to adapt. With a foothold in both Beijing and Silicon Valley, Lee looks at the power balance between Chinese and US tech behemoths—each turbocharging new applications of deep learning and sweeping up global markets in the process. In this post, I’ll be discussing Lee’s “Four Waves of AI ,” an excellent framework for discus...

AI Can Recognize Images. But Can It Understand This Headline?

In 2012, artificial intelligence researchers revealed a big improvement in computers’ ability to recognize images by feeding a neural network millions of labeled images from a database called ImageNet. It ushered in an exciting phase for computer vision, as it became clear that a model trained using ImageNet could help tackle all sorts of image-recognition problems. Six years later, that’s helped pave the way for self-driving cars to navigate city streets and Facebook to automatically tag people in your photos. In other arenas of AI research, like understanding language, similar models have proved elusive. But recent research from fast.ai , OpenAI , and the Allen Institute for AI suggests a potential breakthrough, with more robust language models that can help researchers tackle a range of unsolved problems. Sebastian Ruder, a researcher behind one of the new models, calls it his field’s “ImageNet moment.” The improvements can be dramatic. The most widely tested mode...
